Telehealth Going Forward

As the largest living segment of the population, Millennials will comprise of 75 percent of the workforce within the next six years. It’s no secret their appetite for convenience and technology has driven innovation in every sector, including healthcare. According to Kristi Mitchell of Avalere’s Center for Healthcare Transformation, now that consumers have gotten a taste of telemedicine – there is tangible consumer demand pushing for it to stay. And she’s right. Even before the pandemic in 2020, telemedicine and virtual care were already considered the wave of the future. Now, experts estimate that 35 to 50 percent of care that was traditionally delivered in-person will be delivered in a virtual primary care setting going forward.
